    Experience the hustle and bustle of Vietnam’s largest city on this five-day Southern Vietnam tour. Arrive in Saigon and enjoy a dinner cruise along the Saigon River with a show on the boat. The second day starts with a city tour, including visits to Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, and the War Remnants Museum before heading to the Cu Chi Tunnels. On the third day, take a car/van to Cai Be, visit the floating market, learn how to make coconut candy and crispy rice popcorn, and cycle through the village path. On the fourth day, take a leisure boat trip to explore the Lower Mekong River, visit the Cai Rang floating market, and explore Binh Thuy communal house and Munir Ansay Pagoda before heading back to Saigon. Enjoy free time on the last day before departing from Tan San Nhat Airport.

    • PROGRAM DETAIL

      Day 1: WELCOME TO SAIGON (D)

      Upon arriving at Tan Son Nhat airport, you will be transferred to your hotel downtown. As the largest of Vietnam’s cities, the hustle and bustle of life co-exists with 300 years of timeless traditions and the beauty of a mixed colonial-orient culture. The remainder of the day is free for you to relax. In the evening, enjoy dinner while cruising on the Saigon River with a show on the boat. Overnight in Saigon.

      DAY 02: SAIGON CITY TOUR – CU CHI TUNNEL (B, L)

      We start the trip by visiting Reunification Palace, whose former name was Norodom Palace. Ngo Viet Thu is exactly the architect who designed this stunning palace. Later, other next destinations consist of Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, and especially War Remnants Museum, where exhibits on Vietnam War and Indochina Wars are displayed. After enjoying lunch at the local restaurant, you will be taken to Cu Chi Tunnels. Before entering allotted areas of Cu Chi Tunnels, watch an introductory video which is an overview of the tunnel system’s history and Vietnamese’s life during the hard time of war.

      Climb down small tunnels to get amazing experiences and blow your mind when special constructed living areas and martial facilities of Viet Cong appear in front of your eyes. It will be great to know the system of tunnels – a subterranean village where there are bedrooms, kitchens, field hospitals, command centers, weapons factories, and storage. Moreover, taste special tea and cassava – the common food of Vietnamese guerillas in the past. Take your break time to try the real shooting gun or just relax as you wish.

      Return to Saigon. Overnight in Saigon.

      DAY 03: SAIGON – CAI BE – CAN THO (B, L)

      Pick up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh city. Depart for Cai Be by car/van via Trung Luong Expressway. On arrival in Cai Be, set off for the Cai Be floating market by motorboats and watch the locals trading fruit and many other commodities on their vessels. Visit a small family business to see how coconut candy and crispy rice popcorn are made. Then wander in small villages, visit fruit plantations, accompanied by traditional southern Vietnamese folk music.

      Afterwards, paddling through a series of small canals to experience the charm of the Upper Mekong Delta. Arrive in Tan Phong Island, the green pearl where you can enjoy yourself with the nature.

      Lunch time is a good chance to get closer with the local and you will learn how to prepare special Vietnamese dishes. Food is cooked by yourself, and fresh river food is served in the heart of the garden.

      Cycle in the village path through orchards. Meet the local islanders to learn more about the local daily life in the Mekong Delta. Transfer to Can Tho. Overnight at hotel in Can Tho.

      DAY 04: CAN THO – CAI RANG FLOATING MARKET– SAIGON (B, L)

      After breakfast at the hotel/homestay in early morning, take a leisure boat trip to explore the picturesque tributaries of the Lower Mekong River (Bassac River) then visit to Cai Rang floating market which is the liveliest one in the whole of region.

      Walking trip to visit the fruit plantation and local noodle factory.

      Visit Binh Thuy communal house and Munir Ansay Pagoda – a Khmer pagoda, renowned for its unique structure. Have lunch then you will head back to Saigon for a good night’s sleep.

      DAY 05: SAIGON DEPARTURE (B)

      There is a free time to relax or further explore Saigon. The tour ends after your transfer to Tan San Nhat Airport for departure.
