Vang Vieng District Tourism Office has issued an official announcement that only two points of Tubing Group (a business community with more than 1,500 household members) are allowed provided type services. The district also advised travelers not to buy services from the hostels, drivers, restaurants or bars, but rather directly to the business locatio appointed

Tubing Group office is only about 50m to the district post, you can find it easily. Office opens around 8 – 9am. Service charges included cost for tuk-tuk ride to the starting point and deposit money which will be refunded on check float. If you give back the float after 6pm you have to pay addition money. Life jackets are provided with free of charge if requested, in case you lose life jacket compensation is expected. A fine waterproof plastic bags (dry bag, water-proof bag) sold  in shops are essential items, used for packaging ID, camera, money while tubing. You can rent this bag, too. Sandals can be sent to the tubing office. Another reason to watch time offshore ad give floats on time in addition to additional payment is it gets darker pretty quickly after 6pm.

Some safety precautions when tubing

    • It’s crucial to wear your life jacket even though you can swim. Avoid going tubing alone if you cannot swim, the risk is very high even though you wear life jackets. If you go tubing in group you can bring rope to link the floats together

 

    • Absolutely do not drink when tubing because sightseeing is the main purpose, you can enjoy Laos’ beer after finishing the tour. Avoid obstructions on the line as bushes or rocks, they may turn the floats and injure you.

 

    • There is one more important thing to pay attention is the endpoint signs (Tubing End Point, you may ignore it). Be noted that nearly all passing by the reeds, you will see a small boat takes guests across the two shores.
