Day 1: Ho Chi Minh – arrival (no meal)
Upon arrive airport, you are welcome and transferred to hotel for check in & leisure. Ho Chi Minh City, contradiction of its northern counterpart, is crowded with bikes and motorbikes, excited by numerous shopping area and sidewalk cafés. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 2: Saigon – city tour half day (B/D)
After breakfast, visiting War Remnants Museum – originally opened in September 1975; it displays old military equipment and other related items from Vietnam War. Afterward, continuing seeing the Reunification Palace, formerly known as the Presidential Palace. The place symbolizes the end of Vietnam War when a North Vietnamese army tank went through its gates. Then taking a short stroll to see Notre Dame Cathedral and General Post Office, they are the beautiful examples of architecture from the French colonial period. Afternoon at free and leisure. This evening, you will have chance to sample the most amazing dishes that Vietnam has offer! Our drives and guide will drive you to different parts of the City that locals offer different Local Vietnamese foodies from South to North Vietnam that you would not find it yourself but our tour more fun and enjoyable ever! Our Saigon night foodie tour on the back of vintage classic restored vespa scooters is designed to bring you to taste the dishes and desserts that most other guides don’t touch on. Day 3: Saigon – Cu Chi Tunnel (B)
7:15AM Depart for Cu Chi tunnels. Around 9:30AM Arriving at Cu Chi tunnels (Ben Dinh) and proceeding to an underground hut to watch a short video and presentation about Cu Chi tunnels before having a real hand-on experience of what it took to live in the tunnels. Afterward, test tasting the steamed tapioca root which is the main staple food in Cu Chi during the war. For those interested, there is an opportunity to fire off an AK47 or MK16 with real ammunitions at the nearby shooting range. Leaving Cu Chi tunnels at noon and returning back to HCM city for lunch at own expense. Afternoon free stroll around city center. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 4: Saigon – Cai Be – Vinh Long (B/L)
07:00AM Departing from Tour office to Cai Be by air-conditioned bus (about 100km). Taking a boat trip to discover the beauty of Cai Be floating market where local people sell, buy and exchange goods on their boats. Then, going on to a local village and visiting a local workshop, there are things to see such as rice paper making and coconut candy producing process. Enjoying free sample of local specialties and discovering daily activities of local people.
Around 12:00PM lunch is served at a restaurant by the river and enjoying Vietnamese traditional music (Đàn Ca Tài Tử – A folk art form from Southern Vietnam accredited by UNESCO in 2013 as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity) at the same time. After lunch, taking a boat ride along the Mekong river to Vinh Long – the center of tropical fruits in the Mekong Delta and stopping for a short visit at Vinh Long market. Then, going across the My Thuan suspension bridge and taking a short break at Mekong Rest Stop & returning to Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 5: Saigon – departure (B)
Transfer to airport for your flight back home.
